iPhone 5 to be launched on September 12th along with iPad Mini, iPod Touch and iPod Nano

Most of you would be waiting for Apple to unveil it next generation iPhone and have been constantly surfing the net to get some news. Microsoft Office to get iPad App on November 5th

There has been rumors that Mircrosoft will release Office for iPad. According to The Daily, November 10 is the launch date of Office for iPad. The reports suggest that development team of Mircosoft has already completed work on the App and it has been under review by the usability team to make it truely “Metro compliance”. Then the app will likely go for Apple App Store approval. An Android version is also slated to release on the same day as iOS version. We already have alternative to Office like Apple’s iWork suite of Pages, Keynote, and Numbers or access Microsoft Office through Onlive Desktop. But it would be great to see a Metro Style Office from Mircosoft, which can fully take the advantage of iOS and Android.

7-inch iPad to to be released in October

Long before we had heard some rumors about iPad Mini. Now those rumors have resurfaced again. According to iMore, Apple is all set to launch a 7-inch iPad in October. Reports further states that the talked about iPad mini will be priced at $200 – $250. Smaller iPad rumors have been doing rounds from 2010 when the original iPad was launched, but times have changed. Cheap Android tablets have flooded the market and Apple  might introduce a 7-inch tablet, low cost tablet to clear its competition.

Apple has a 7.85″ iPad in their labs

As seen on a podcast, which features John Gruber of Daring Fireball and 5by5′s Dan Benjamin, when Benjamin asked if Gruber thought a 7.85″ iPad would ever be released, Gruber said:

“Well, I don’t know. What I do know is that they have one in the lab…a 7.85 inch iPad that runs at 1024×768… it’s just like the 9.7″ iPad shrunk down a little bit. Apps wouldn’t need to be recompiled or redesigned to work optimally on it. It’s just the iPad smaller.”

Just when we thought that we had enough of iPad (3) jailbreak, developer who goes by the name of Paul Griffin or @phoenixdev has jailbreaked his new iPad (3) within 4.5 hrs of owning it. phoenixdev is developer of some popular Cydia tweaks like Music Controls Pro, Shrink, Resupported4, Parallax and many more. Now we have 4 jailbreak exploit including one from phoenixdev and one each from ion1c, MuscleNerd and chpwn. Now, I wonder if anyone else is left to come up with a new jailbreak exploit for the new iPad (3).
