Absinthe 2.0 has arrived to jailbreak iOS 5.1.1

The wait for iOS 5.1.1 jailbreak is finally over. Absinthe 2.0 has been released by Chronic-Dev Team along with efforts iPhone Dev Teams (Jailbreak Dream Team). Status update on iOS 5.1 jailbreak

Many of you are eagerly waiting for iOS 5.1 jailbreak. When the new iPad was launched hacker like  i0n1c, MuscleNerd, chpwn and pheonixdev were able to jailbreak their iPad (3) on iOS 5.1. FireCore releases iOS 5.1 jailbreak for Apple TV 2

FireCore released new versions of Seas0nPass and aTV Flash (black) that are compatible with latest 5.0 (iOS 5.1) software running on the ATV2. Seas0nPass currently provides a tethered jailbreak for the new 5.0 (iOS 5.1) AppleTV software. Which means you will require the AppleTV to be connected to a Mac/PC when first powering it on. Since the AppleTV doesn’t have a battery, and is rarely ever powered off, this usually only needs to be done once. Remember this jailbreak is only for Apple TV 2 and won’t work on Apple TV 3, work is still going on to jailbreak Apple TV 3. You can get Seas0nPass from our download page.

World gets 4th Jailbroken iPad (3)


Just when we thought that we had enough of iPad (3) jailbreak, developer who goes by the name of Paul Griffin or @phoenixdev has jailbreaked his new iPad (3) within 4.5 hrs of owning it. phoenixdev is developer of some popular Cydia tweaks like Music Controls Pro, Shrink, Resupported4, Parallax and many more. Now we have 4 jailbreak exploit including one from phoenixdev and one each from ion1c, MuscleNerd and chpwn. Now, I wonder if anyone else is left to come up with a new jailbreak exploit for the new iPad (3).

First there was i0n1c, then MuscleNerd and now another hacker chpwn has tweeted about his success at jailbreaking the new new iPad (3). All of the hackers have used different methods to jailbreak their devices so the jailbreak scenario seems to be stronger than ever. Dev Team had yesterday talked about the possibility of iPad (3) jailbreak and today MuscleNerd, infamous hacker from Dev Team has tweeted the pictures of a jailbreaked new iPad (3) running on iOS 5.1. MuscleNerd is not the only one in this world to have a jailbreaked iPad (3), as reported earlier even i0n1c was able to jailbreak his iPad with another method.

Dev Team talks on iPad 3 Jailbreak

The new iPad is yet to be released and many have already lined up to get their hands on the iPad 3 (that’s the name every one is using). Well to give you some pleasure, infamous Dev Team has posted some good news regarding the jailbreak of new iPad.

“There are a few bits of good news already.

  • We can confirm that the method used to jailbreak the iPad2 4 months ago (before corona) still works even in 5.1.  That means we’ll at least be able to get our foot in the door to get the required kernel dumps on the iPad3.  That’s an important step, but by no means is it the end of the story. i0n1c gives advice for iOS 5.1 jailbreak

Stefan Esser who also goes by the name of i0n1c, is a hacker who had developed an iOS 4.3.x untethered jailbreak exploit. Now he tweeted something which might help us in jailbreaking iOS 5.1. He recommended people to download KakaoTalk Messenger 2.8.8, before Apple removes it from AppStore. KakaoTalk might have an exploitable vulnerability that can be used for iOS 5.1 jailbreak. i0n1c is often seen people teasing with such news, so take it with a pinch of salt. Click Here To Read More
