According to iMore, iPhone 5 is slated to be released in October but Apple is yet to select design for iPhone 5. Reports even say that the size might not see any change and even if Apple decides to make the display bigger then don’t expect it to be bigger than 4-inch. If the rumors are to be believed then we might see iPhone 5 to be launched along with 7-inch iPad.

Found a loophole in Apple’s apticket system. Restored my iPad 2 to 5.0.1 from 5.1. Works on all A5 devices.

Currently it is impossible to downgrade A5 iOS devices (iPhone 4S and iPad 2) because the way Apple has implemented aptickets in the iOS 5. Yes, you can’t even if you have SHSH blobs saved. But things are going to change as iH8sn0w, the famous hacker behind sn0wbreeze has tweeted that he has found a loophole in Apple’s apticket system that will help in downgrading A5 iOS devices – iPhone 4S and iPad 2.

According to iMore, Apple will launch its next generation iPhone 5 in October. The new iPhone will be 4G LTE compatible as we saw in the case of the new iPad and will feature screen size similar to iPhone 4S and that is 3.5″. It will also feature a new micro dock connector to make space for internal component.

Tether has launched a tethering iOS app - iTether, which allowed to use your iPhone’s data plan on ypur PC or Mac. But Apple quickly removed the app from the App Store. Now Thether has a new tethering solution and this time it is HTML5 based so it doesn’t require downloading anything from the App Store. The service will cost you $30 per year and to order it visit Tether’s website.
“Tether is an application that allows your PC to take advantage of your iPhone’s data plan, allowing you to access the Internet on your laptop anywhere there is cellular coverage from your iPhone.”

Just after its iPad launch event, Apple its iOS 5.1 update. The most notable features for iOS 5.1 include Siri support for Japanese users, a new camera app for iPad, and a new camera shortcut. iOS 5.1 is available for the iPad 3, iPad 2, iPad, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 4G, and iPod touch 3G. Apple N Berry, the folks behind Gevey SIM announced some good news for iPhone 4 users who stuck on baseband 4.11.08. They are currently performing tests on new version of Gevey SIM to unlock 4.11.08. Now there is no ETA on when the new Gevey SIM will be launched, but it might not take much time. Till than we can just wait….because currently there is no unlock available for iPhone 4 baseband 4.11.08.

Most of us are desperately waiting to unlock their iPhone 4S. There has not been any software unlock as yet. But we do have hardware unlock like TPSIM interposer, but it’s not confirmed yet whether it really works. When iPhone 4 was launched back in 2010, many users were facing problem of low signals and frequent drop calls. These problems were dubbed as “Antennagate”. Apple even responsed with a press conference and offered full refund for iPhone 4 customers or free bumper cases. A lawsuit was files against Apple for this “Antennagate”. By now most of the world knows, What is Siri? and they may be even knowing that it is only available exclusively for iPhone 4S. But there are lots of ways to get Siri on older iOS devices and they are not quite that easy to implement. Now we have we have something that is by far the easiest way to get Siri working on non supported iOS devices and guess what it involves no proxy server. AssistantConnect and AssistantConnect4S are Cydia tweaks that allow you to easily share your iPhone 4S Siri connection with older generation iOS devices. No need for proxy servers but you need to jailbreak your device and an iPhone 4S also.
